Tom Yates - Song of the shimmering way

Last and best of three LPs from Brit folkie. Yates was in Duncan Browne’s 1967 baroque folkpsych trio Lorel, co-writing their unreleased Immediate label 45 ‘Here And Now’, which he revisits here as ‘We’re Here And Now’ (very similar to Lorel’s version, but with some added fuzz guitar). Lovely baroque chamber folk feel with occasional fuzz leads and top-class songs like ‘Young Men Of Promise’, ‘Sunset On Fair Isle’, ‘Johnny Mars The Knocker’ and the beautiful, seven-minute title track.
